Lulu to open 12 Saudi hypermarkets

Lulu Group, the Abu Dhabi-based retail company, said on Sunday it planned to open 12 new hypermarkets in Saudi Arabia by the end of 2018.

It opened this month its 125th hypermarket and seventh in Saudi Arabia.
Lulu plans to open four more hypermarkets this year, including one in Jeddah and one each in Hail and Hofuf.

“We have already invested SR1bn and intend to further invest SR 800m in the next two years, taking our total investment to more than SR1.8bn in the kingdom,” Lulu Group managing director Yusuff Ali said.
