Jumeirah Group aims for 20 more hotels: Reuters

Jumeirah Group president and chief executive Gerald Lawless said in an interview yesterday that the hotel company he leads plans to have a total of 20 more hotels in different parts of the world by 2018.

At present, Jumeirah, part of Dubai Holding, has 22 hotels.

Jumeirah announced yesterday that it had signed an agreement to operate a 294-room luxury resort on Saadiyat Island. This will be the group’s second hotel in Abu Dhabi City.

Lawless was reported by Reuters as saying Jumeirah plans to open one or two more  hotels in 2015. It is opening a hotel in St Petersburg and hopes to open one in Moscow.
