AHIC 2014 gets off to a strong start with heavy attendance at networking roundtables

AHIC 2014 gets off to a strong start with heavy attendance at networking roundtables More than 200 delegates at the 10th Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) attended the initial roundtable networking event during the conference’s opening session this morning at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah.

Topics addressed by the roundtables were:

• Branded spas

• Branded residences • East Africa

• Human capital

• Asset management

• How to invest successfully in hotels

• Financing hotel projects in the Middle East.

“All seven roundtable meetings were heavily attended and we almost didn’t have enough space,” says AHIC co-chairman Edmund O’Sullivan. “But it’s clear that Dubai until 2020 is going to be the main talking point at the 10th AHIC. There’s a huge number of new projects in the emirate and investors are very interested in acquiring assets here.” AHIC, which runs on 4-5 May, is organised by Bench Events and MEED.
