Abu Dhabi reports 25 per cent increase in hotel guests in 2014

Almost 3.5 million people checked into hotels in Abu Dhabi in 2014 — a rise of 25 per cent on the previous year’s figure, the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (ADTCA) says is a statement.

This compares with the target for the year of 3.1 million hotel guests, ADTCA says.

Visitors from the UAE accounted for 1 million of the total figure. India followed by Germany, the US and China were the biggest sources of overseas visitors. Saudi Arabia is the biggest source of visitors from within the GCC.
