Saudi Arabia’s Prince Sultan bin Salman to receive AHIC 2014 leadership award

President and chairman of the board of the Saudi Commission for Tourism & Antiquities (SCTA) Prince Sultan bin Salman Al-Saud will receive the annual AHIC leadership award at Madinat Jumeirah on 4 May.

The award is presented to individuals and organisations deemed to have made an outstanding contribution to the hospitality and hotel investment industry of the Middle East. The SCTA was founded in 2000 to promote tourism and employment in the hospitality industry in the kingdom.

Previous winners of the award have included president of Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation, CEO and chairman of the Emirates Groupand Chairman of Dubai World Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority Shaikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al-Nahyan.

AHIC (Arabian Hotel Investment Conference) was first held in 2005. It is organised by Bench Events and MEED. More than 500 speakers, delegates and guests are expected at AHIC 2014. It closes on 5 May.
