Iran ready to co-operate with Oman in oil and gas

Managing Director of Iran Ship Building & Offshore Industries Complex Company (ISOICO) Hamid Rezayian Asl said Iran is ready to cooperate with Oman in developing its oil and gas projects.

“The Southern Iranian province of) Hormozgan’s closeness to Oman and the good relations and the bright prospects of ties between Iran and Oman have paved the ground for cooperation in this regard …,” Rezayian Asl said during a visit to ISOICO by an Omani delegation.

He said that Iranian experts have overhauled the Modarres drilling platform ahead of schedule.

In June 2013, the then Managing Director of said the company is able to compete with foreign companies in providing engineering and technical services in the drilling industry.

Hamid Reza Golpayegani said the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) owned 70 drilling rigs.

NIDC is drilling operations in South Pars gas field phases 14, 17 and 18 , Kish gas field as well as Azadegan, Yaran and Azar oil fields.
