Dubai Metro’s ridership rose to a record monthly level of 14.8m in January while more than 300,000 people used Dubai Metro in the month, Dubai’s Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced today.
The Red Line accounted for 9.5m of the total. Deira City Centre station was the busiest on the metro network. Al Fahidi Station station was the busiest on the Green Line.
Dubai Metro is now operating significantly in excess of its original design capacity. It’s dealing with soaring numbers by reducing the time between trains and ordering more rolling stock.
